1 May 2007 - May Newsletter
Dear Parent(s),
Newsletter ? May 2007
It has not been long since the April newsletter, so I shall keep this one relatively brief.
I have been asked by the School Association to put out a request for old crockery! They are planning to run a stall at the Summer Fayre, which needs lots of old and unwanted crockery. If you do have any, now or before July, please send it into the school.
Also may I again ask children not to come to school too early. I am delighted to know that they are keen and eager to come but some days I am not able to ensure supervision until 8.50am at the earliest although obviously special arrangements are in place for the children who come to school by taxi.
I have had one or two enquiries about dates so I thought this would be a good time to just list events for this term and dates of next school year. I would remind you that holiday dates are displayed in the school entrance area and of course you are always welcome to confirm dates with Sonia.
We are also holding a ?Groundforce Day? on Wednesday 23rd May. Many thanks to all the people who have volunteered to help and already made donations. Mrs Knight would welcome any offers of help to tidy up the pond area, pruning bushes, weeding and planting. Also we would appreciate any donations of plants, especially ones that attract insects and any unwanted bird tables and nesting boxes in good condition.
Unfortunately due to the weather forecast we decided to cancel today?s Sponsored Assault Course. This will now be held next Friday, again weather permitting. Please remember that children need to come to school in suitable clothing next Friday i.e. tracksuits and trainers. They will not need their uniform to change into.
Yours sincerely,
S. Blore
Headteacher
